Using the colour atlas
The colour atlas allows you to see and select from over 1000 colours that can print on the chosen fabric. This allows you, the designer, to ensure that the colours you are using in your design will come out correctly when printed on that fabric. Most of our fabrics are profile to print in very close appearance but there will always be variations between different fabric bases.
Once you have the atlas you can use the codes on them to match the RGB colours in your software. Ensure that your design is set up before dropping in the colours to :
- Image Mode : RGB / 8 Bits per channel
- Image Profile : sRGB IEC61966-2.1
You can find out more information how to set up the design in the ‘Uploading your design’ section.
You can use the colour dropper tool on Photoshop to select the colour you want and drop it into the file.
Alternatively, you should be able to simply enter the 6 Digit ‘Hex Code’ -eg. 6688FF under the colour chip into the Photoshop colour picker/dropper section beginning with # : (highlighted)
Finally, make sure that your design is saved in an Tiff format to ensure the best colour match.
